How did you get into construction?
I worked with carpenters on family construction projects as a kid.
What do you like to do outside of work?
Old tractors, eating well, craft beer and bourbon, sailing, traveling, international service, woodworking, taking care of a small farm and garden.

How did you get into construction?
I took a summer job for my home town public works department where I was assigned to assist a pair of old pros who provided the maintenance and upkeep for all town buildings. I was working on carpentry, masonry, flatwork, painting, windows, plumbing, mechanical, electrical service and more. I caught the bug.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I enjoy time with my family, time outdoors, taking in movies, and making or fixing whatever needs to be made or fixed.

How did you get into construction?
After I graduated I sent my resume to everyone in the Triangle that was a sustainably focused company. Luckily the stars aligned and BuildSense gave me a call for an interview. I immediately clicked with Randy and Erik and have been with BuildSense ever since.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I have an energetic husky who loves to play in the river as much as I do. I love spending time working in my yard and any excuse to be in the sunshine.

How did you get into construction?
I, like so many before and after me, happened upon a career in construction in an attempt to earn a little money for college. Fell in love with the fresh air, fresh new challenges, and the tangible and rewarding nature of the work. Decided that getting paid to learn was a smart exchange when paired with these other virtues this industry offers and never looked back.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I love learning, food, movies, family time, sleep, and contemplating the mysteries of life.

I took a summer design-build studio while I was an undergrad, the hands-on experience was life-changing. I jumped at the opportunity to take another design-build studio during grad school. I believe there’s no better way to learn how to design than to build.
What do you like to do outside of work?
Long walks exploring my city (Durham!), keeping up to date with the local food scene, being around live music, puzzles!
